Job summary

Role Description:

Responsible for end-to-end development of hydraulic and precision-engineered components from concept to production. The role involves supplier development, component sourcing, manufacturing feasibility assessment, prototype development, validation, APQP/PPAP implementation, cost optimization, and project management activities to support new product development programs.

The incumbent will lead component development activities for machined, cast, forged, fabricated, welded, and hydraulic components while ensuring quality, cost, delivery, and project milestones are achieved as per business requirements.

Additionally, the role involves:
  • Leading development of new components through supplier engagement and project execution.
  • Conducting RFQ evaluations, technical feasibility reviews, and supplier assessments.
  • Driving prototype development, validation, and production readiness activities.
  • Coordinating process prove-out and manufacturing validation activities.
  • Ensuring supplier manufacturing processes comply with product and process requirements.
  • Managing component cost, lead time, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Participating in DFM reviews and providing manufacturing feedback during product development.
  • Collaborating with design, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, and supplier teams for successful project execution.
  • Supporting continuous cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
Qualification:
  • DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering)

  • BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Desired Experience:
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Component Development, NPI, Supplier Development, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria for Internal Applicants:
  • Minimum experience in the current role: 2 years
  • Minimum performance criteria (HVC/MR for last 2 years): HVC
