Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer for our automotive manufacturing site in Maharashtra. The role focuses on ensuring maximum equipment uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance across critical lines, conveyors, robots, and utilities.

You will lead breakdown maintenance, drive RCA/CAPA to prevent recurrence, and coordinate with production to keep takt time disruption-free. Strong TPM experience and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 5–10 years in maintenance, preferably in automotive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) for conveyors, tightening systems, robots and utilities.
  • Lead breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime and restore production quickly.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with production to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing.
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory, optimizing cost and availability of critical spares.
  • Implement the TPM pillars including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements during maintenance.

  • Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical assets such as conveyors, tightening systems, robots, and utilities
  • Lead breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and quick restoration of production operations
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring equipment failures
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical spares while optimizing cost
  • Implement and sustain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements during maintenance activities
