Job summary

Reliance Industries (RIL) seeks a capable contracts and compliance professional to draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements spanning vendor, C&F, and service contracts. The role includes land due diligence and real estate documentation for manufacturing sites, along with compliance oversight for FMCG-related statutes.

You will coordinate with external counsels, ensure timely regulatory adherence, and support policy and MIS initiatives across plants and depots.

Qualifications

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor and supply chain agreements.

• Identify and monitor statutory compliance for manufacturing plants; drive timely mitigation actions.

Role & responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Negotiation

• Commercial contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor, C&F, supply chain, and service agreements
• Real estate documentation: including lease/rent deeds for manufacturing plants, warehouses, corporate offices, and depots
• Manufacturing related: including Manpower Supply, O&M-Boiler, ETP/STP, Packaging/ Raw material supply, equipment purchase, pest control, transportation Agreements

Land Due Diligence

• Support on land and property due diligence, verification of land records, and lease/license documentation for new and existing factory / warehousing sites.
• Coordinate with external counsels for title search reports, etc.

Statutory Compliance Management

• Identify, track, and research statutory compliance requirements for manufacturing plants (such as actories Act, labour, environmental, Legal Metrology, FSSAI, fire, etc.)
• Collaborate with plant stakeholders to ensure ground level regulatory compliance
• Follow up for timely compliance closure / completion
• Flag non-compliances and drive timely mitigation actions
• Maintain, update, and monitor the compliance tracker.
• Conduct periodic compliance audits at plants
• Liaise with external consultants/ law firm

Legal Research

• Research judicial precedents
• Address on business related queries from business teams
• Track amendments in FMCG related laws and assess business impact.

Policy, SOP and MIS Support

• Assist in drafting/reviewing internal SOPs and corporate policy documents
• Prepare MIS reports, presentations, and dashboards

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical: Strong knowledge of manufacturing/FMCG laws, property & labour regulations
• Soft Skills: Sharp drafting, negotiation & communication; effective cross-functional stakeholder management
