Job summary

Godrej Industries Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to conduct due diligence for land acquisitions and real estate projects. You will examine property documents, identify legal risks, and provide expert opinions to support informed decisions.

The role involves liaising with advocates, authorities, and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth transactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence of land parcels, real estate assets, and development projects.
• Review title documents, sale deeds, conveyance deeds, lease deeds, development agreements, and related property records.
• Verify ownership, title chain, encumbrances, litigations, easements, and statutory compliances.
• Liaise with advocates, government authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders for document collection and verification.
• Prepare Due Diligence Reports (DDR) highlighting legal risks, observations, and recommendations.
• Conduct searches at Sub-Registrar Offices, Revenue Authorities, Municipal Authorities, and other statutory bodies.
• Review and analyse approvals, permissions, sanctions, and regulatory compliances applicable to projects.
• Support land acquisition, joint development, redevelopment, and commercial transactions.

About Role
