Job summary

Lenskart is seeking a Store Design Architect to lead the design and development of brand-led store experiences across retail formats. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray/Enscape is required to create layouts and 3D visuals.

You'll collaborate with design leads, project managers, and suppliers to deliver compliant, on-brand environments within budget, while keeping up with industry trends and materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior/retail design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray/Enscape.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selection and specifications.

Job description

Job Purpose:

This role will be responsible for the design and development of innovative brand-led experiences spanning the entire portfolio of retail formats for the brand. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including interior designers, project managers, and branding experts, to deliver functional and aesthetically appealing retail environments.

Key Responsibility:

• - Work closely with the Design Lead to design and develop store layouts and retail environments that align with brand identity and business objectives.
• - Review site reports, prepare initial layouts, zoning plans for feasibility checks taking into account functionality, customer flow, and in-store experience.
• - Develop layout plans and efficiently plan stores using AutoCAD with the goal of ensuring that designs meet project goals, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• - Prepare 3D models & renders using SketchUp, Vray, Enscape and/or other relevant software to present to relevant stakeholders for approvals
• - Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and GFC documents including support in preparing BOQ for retail projects for mall submission and on site execution.
• - Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project goals & timelines, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• - Coordinate with Internal stakeholders (Projects, Brand & VM Team) and External stakeholders (Contractors, Vendors,Suppliers) to ensure the smooth execution of store design projects.
• - Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and innovations to provide creative and effective design solutions.
• - Collaborate in development of new concepts and contribute to the concept design , presentation, fixture design/detailing and prototyping for new developments in design
• - Research and evaluate new materials, products and solutions that can enhance quality, while being cost conscious.
• - Review and approve design specifications, construction documents, and shop drawings where required.

Education & Qualification:

• - Bachelor's Degree with Specialization in Architecture /Interior design/ Retail Design/M des/Product -Design/Retail Design (Colleges like NID/IDC/SPA/CEPT etc)
• - Proficient with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Vray/Enscape.
• - Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• - Knowledge of furniture,finishes,materials,color selection and specifications.
