With a culture dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and merit-based admissions, Nayanta is building a future‑ready learning ecosystem for the leaders of tomorrow.

About the Role

Foundational HR Impact: Play a pivotal role in shaping the HR function of a new‑age university from the ground up. Ownership Across the HR Spectrum: Lead recruitment, operations, culture‑building, and organisation design in one integrated role. Collaborative Culture: Work closely with leadership, faculty, and cross‑functional teams to build a people‑first campus. Professional Growth: Opportunity to build HR systems, drive engagement initiatives, and grow with the institution.

Responsibilities
HR Operations
  • Manage day‑to‑day HR operations including employee records, HRMS data accuracy, onboarding and off‑boarding formalities, and documentation.
  • Support monthly payroll inputs, attendance and leave administration, and statutory compliance tracking.
  • Prepare HR letters and correspondence, and maintain HR dashboards and MIS reports on headcount and other people metrics.
Recruitment
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for assigned roles — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
  • Partner with hiring managers across academics and operations to understand role requirements and build effective sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate pipelines, and job postings across relevant platforms.
HR Events
  • Plan and execute HR‑led events across the employee lifecycle — onboarding sessions, town halls, celebrations, and recognition events.
  • Coordinate logistics, communication, and vendor management for HR events on campus.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Student Life, Operations) to ensure HR events reflect Nayanta's brand and culture.
Culture Building
  • Design and drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, belonging, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Support the roll‑out of recognition programmes, feedback mechanisms, and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for employees, helping surface and address culture and engagement concerns early.
Organisation Building
  • Support the development of org structures, role clarity, and workforce planning as the university scales.
  • Assist in building HR systems, processes, and SOPs from the ground up, given Nayanta's growing HR function.
  • Contribute to projects on org design, career pathing, and capability building across departments.
Training & Development
  • Support the design and roll‑out of induction and onboarding training programmes for new employees.
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs across departments.
  • Maintain training calendars and records, and track feedback to assess the effectiveness of L&D programmes.
  • Liaise with external trainers and vendors for specialised training sessions as required.

The stated responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of duties. Employees may be required to perform other job‑related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications
Education
  • Postgraduate degree / MBA in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience
