Job summary

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP in Bengaluru is seeking an Assistant Manager for Fund Accounting and Reporting within the Accounting & Reporting Assurance team. The role focuses on maintaining ledgers, regulatory reporting, and coordinating with auditors for funds and mandates.

The ideal candidate holds CA/CFA/MBA or equivalent, with 3–5 years of Real estate fund accounting experience, and strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. Bengaluru-based, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA/CFA/MBA or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• 3–5 years of Real estate (fund) accounting experience or related business services with exposure to trust accounting.
• Experience in financial reporting and accounting for funds or mandates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and trial balance for funds and mandates; calculate CUVs, distributions, and management fees; prepare regulatory reports including annual financial statements.
• Support clients in meeting tax obligations including income tax returns and tax component calculations for distributions and BAS returns.
• Provide financial information to stakeholders including Fund Managers, Investment Managers, Valuations, and Tax teams.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for signoffs on funds/mandates.
• Contribute to finance projects across the fund finance platform and work with offshore finance teams.

As aSenior Team Leadin our Assurance team,you’llbuild and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

Maintain general ledger and trial balance for assigned funds and mandates, calculate CUVs, distributions, and management fees, and prepare regulatory reports, including annual financial statements.

Support clients in meeting their tax obligations including income tax returns, taxcomponentcalculations for distributions and the preparation of monthly BAS returns.

Provide financial information and support to various stakeholders, including Fund Managers, Investment Managers, Valuations team, Tax team, and more.

Ensure smooth auditor and tax consultantsignoffsfor assigned funds/mandates.

Contribute to finance projects and initiatives across the fund finance platform.

Work effectively with the offshore finance teams.

Qualified/pursuing CA,CFA, MBAalong with relevant tertiary qualification.

Extensive work experience of minimum 3-5years in Real estate (fund) accounting experience or business services background with exposure to trust accounting.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace change.

Strong understanding of financial reporting and analytical needs.
