Job summary

Torrent Power Limited is seeking a Project Accounting Associate to support financial tracking, reporting, and compliance across projects. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely financial deliverables.

Key duties include invoice processing, 4-way matching, HR compliance clearance, PO verification, GST applicability, and payment milestones. SAP experience and Tally ERP knowledge are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• CA Inter with 6-7 years of experience OR M. Com with 7-8 years OR B. Com with 10-12 years of experience.
• Hands-on SAP experience and knowledge of Tally ERP preferred.
• Strong understanding of project accounting processes and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure 4-way matching (PO, GRN/Service Entry Sheet, QC clearance, Invoice).
• Obtain HR compliance and safety clearances before billing.
• Verify PO line items, BOQ quantities, GST, HSNSAC codes, delivery terms and payment milestones.
• Calculate liquidated damages, apply retention and deductions per PO terms.
• Maintain Petty Cash Book and process cash expenses with approvals.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasts and cost reports for projects.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly project reports and maintain audit-ready records.

Profile:

As a Project Accounting Associate, you will support the financial tracking, reporting, and compliance of various projects. Youll work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely financial deliverables.

Role & responsibilities:

• Invoice processing and vendor coordination. Understanding the complete process of transaction, its recognition and processing.
• Ensure 4-way matching is followed (PO, GRN/ Service Entry Sheet, QC clearance, Invoice).
• Ensure no invoice is processed without HR compliance & Safety clearance for that billing period.
• Verifying PO line items, BOQ quantities, GST applicability, rates, taxes, HSN/SAC codes, delivery terms, warranties, and payment milestones.
• Calculate liquidated damages for delays or quality issues as per PO. Apply retention and deductions as per PO terms.
• Maintain Petty Cash Book and process cash expenses with approvals.
• Understanding of inter-departmental processes specifically stores & purchase.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely payments, compliances & smooth process.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for active projects
• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance reviews
• Contribute to improvements in project accounting processes and documentation
• Basic knowledge of Direct & Indirect taxation

Hands-on experience in SAP, as well as knowledge of Tally ERP, will be preferred.
