Viacom18 seeks an experienced L2 Windows Domain & Backup Engineer to manage enterprise Windows environments and backup infrastructure. The role covers Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS/NPS, and enterprise backups, with automation via scripting/AI tools.
You will assess, report, and drive compliance activities, ensuring DR readiness and security baselines across multi-domain environments in a hybrid infrastructure.
We require an experienced L2 Windows Domain & Backup Engineer to manage and maintain enterprise Windows environments along with backup and recovery infrastructure. The role includes Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows services, along with enterprise backup administration, monitoring, and recovery operations. The engineer will also perform assessments, reporting, compliance activities, and enable automation using scripting/AI tools.
Technical Skills: Strong experience in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS/NPS; Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025); patch management tools (WSUS/SCCM/Intune/Bigfix)
Backup Tools: Experience in enterprise backup tools (NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
Security: Knowledge of ISO 2701 and security frameworks; experience with vulnerability tools (Qualys, Nessus)
Scripting: PowerShell scripting for automation
Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Azure Admin); certifications in backup technologies (Veeam/Commvault/NetBackup)
Environment: Experience in enterprise multi-domain environments; exposure to hybrid environments (on-prem + Azure/GCP); exposure to AI/automation tools
Communication: Strong documentation and reporting skills; effective communication and coordination with IT and business teams
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in backup validation, security compliance, and audit readiness
Resilience: Ability to work in high-pressure production environments with SLA-bound deliverables
Problem-Solving: Root cause analysis; incident management; proactive vulnerability remediation
