Job summary

Harsco Rail, a global supplier of railway safety and maintenance equipment, seeks an EHS professional to establish safety requirements at office and site operations and to implement the Global EHS Framework.

You will lead policy guidance, monitor performance, conduct audits and training, report incidents, ensure legal compliance, and promote an EHS culture within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering preferred; a 3-year science degree may be considered.
• Full-time 1-year Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety from Govt of India recognized Institute.
• NEBOSH IGC is required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 4500.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate establishing Safety and Health requirements at the workplace including Office and Site Operations.
• Ensure implementation of the EHS Management system and Harsco’s Global EHS Framework guidelines.
• Ensure Safety goals of Harsco organization are met.
• Guide HSE policy, performance standards, and criteria in consultation with management.
• Monitor and report EHS performance.
• Develop, implement, and support EHS improvement strategies.
• Provide professional support and expert advice in relevant areas.
• Conduct EHS educational, training, and support programs.
• Conduct EHS inspections/Audit and report to Management.
• Identify, analyze, and report potential HSE difficulties to management.
• Maintain an excellent information resource in EHS and produce effective statistical information.
• EHS performance reporting - internal and external.
• Ensure incident reporting and investigation of incidents.
• Monitor compliance of EHS legal requirements and advise management.
• Advise on and plan for changes to legislation and external standards.
• Organize EHS promotional activities to promote EHS culture.
