A leading jewellery design firm in Chennai is seeking an experienced designer to create innovative designs based on market trends. The candidate will prepare prototypes, conduct feasibility checks, and collaborate with design vendors. With a required degree in Jewellery Design and 5 to 8 years of experience, this role offers significant opportunities for creative development and product innovation.

Formación

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in jewellery design, with a strong track record of product innovation and designing.
• Degree in Jewellery Design, preferably from NIFT or any other reputed design institution.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare design prototypes according to inputs received from product team.
• Develop innovative & good quality designs based on understanding of market trends.
• Conduct feasibility checks on new designs developed.
• Conduct market, consumer & competitor surveys for emerging trends.
• Define scope of work and monitor output with design vendors.

A designer will be responsible for development of new designs to be introduced at Khazana Jewellery. He/she would use their creativity supplemented by external understanding of market trends , customer needs, as well as internal inputs from front-end as well as back-end functions, to help them develop new designs. Also drawn inspiration from other sources including jewellery exhibition , bench-marking with competitors etc.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare design prototypes according to inputs received from product team.

Develop innovative & good quality designs that are ready for issue to manufacturing, based on understanding of market trends & gaps in current offering vs. market needs

Manufacturing feasibility checks on new designs developed

Conduct market, consumer & competitor surveys to understand emerging trends & themes.

Work with HOD for finalization of contracts & terms with design vendors.

First point of contact with design vendors - define scope of work, monitor output, facilitate discussions with other product functions if necessary.

Desired Profile:

Degree in Jewellery Design, preferably from NIFT or any other reputed design institution.

At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in jewellery design, with a strong track record of product innovation and designing.
