Job summary

Eden Renewables India is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Deputy Manager (SCADA) in its Engineering Department to lead SCADA design, implementation, and monitoring across solar PV projects.

The role requires 8+ years in SCADA/automation, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, and willingness to travel to project sites.

You will review specifications, ensure cybersecurity, and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and O&M teams to optimize plant performance.

Incorporated in 2016 as a joint venture between TotalEnergies and EDF power solutions, Eden Renewables India has been developing, engineering, financing, constructing, and operating over 2.3 GW of solar PV assets in India.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, commissioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SCADA, networking, communication, and monitoring systems for solar PV plants.
• Review and prepare SCADA system specifications, including hardware, software, communication, and networking requirements.
• Review and validate SCADA architecture, I/O lists, networking solutions, CCTV systems, PPC drawings, communication diagrams, and related technical documentation submitted by EPC contractors, OEMs, and system suppliers.
• Review the implementation of SCADA, networking, CCTV, IT infrastructure, and plant monitoring systems at project sites.
• Support site testing, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, monitoring hardware, IT networks, and communication infrastructure.
• Lead retrofit, renovation, and modernisation initiatives for SCADA and networking infrastructure across existing PV assets.
• Support the integration and onboarding of newly acquired PV plants into centralised monitoring and asset management platforms.
• Develop and optimise SCADA and networking solutions to improve system reliability, data availability, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.
• Monitor data infrastructure and identify potential issues, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities to ensure secure and reliable data flow from PV plants to centralised monitoring systems.
• Participate in and witness SCADA Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and integration testing.
• Ensure SCADA design and implementation comply with Employer’s Requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, CEA regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Review SCADA instrumentation and plant data and provide basic data analysis and performance support to the Operations & Maintenance team.
• Support communication and telemetry integration between plant substations and grid substations.
• Support PPC testing and commissioning and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for successful implementation.
• Review and ensure grid compliance in accordance with applicable CEA regulations and requirements.
• Review and support the implementation of cybersecurity requirements and compliance across PV plant SCADA and IT/OT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, SCADA vendors, OEMs, consultants, O&M teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders for effective project execution.
• Ensure timely resolution of SCADA, communication, networking, cybersecurity, and system integration-related issues during project execution and operations.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation, reports, test records, and system configuration records related to SCADA and communication systems.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in SCADA, automation, communication, networking, or monitoring systems, preferably within the solar PV / renewable energy sector.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and data-gathering skills.
• Good understanding of SCADA architecture, industrial communication networks, telemetry, PPC, IT/OT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to manage multiple activities effectively in a deadline-driven project environment.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with senior stakeholders, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to project and site locations as required
