Job summary

Tata Communications in Pune seeks an experienced Firewall L2 Engineer with hands-on Palo Alto PAN-OS and Check Point R80.x expertise to join our enterprise security team. You will manage firewall policies, NAT rules and security profiles; troubleshoot firewalls; configure IPsec/SSL-VPN; monitor threats and logs; and coordinate with SOC/NOC on incidents.

ITIL-aligned changes and accurate documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto PAN-OS and Check Point R80.x.
• Experience with NAT, ACLs, routing basics and threat profiles (AV/IPS/URL filtering).
• Experience with IPsec/SSL-VPN configuration and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage & update firewall policies, objects, NAT rules, and security profiles.
• Handle L2 troubleshooting for Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls.
• Support IPsec & SSL‑VPN configuration and issue resolution.
• Monitor traffic logs, threats, sessions and take corrective actions.
• Work with SOC/NOC on incidents, alerts and escalations.
• Execute changes following ITIL processes and maintain documentation.

Experience: 4–7 years (2+ years in Palo Alto / Check Point mandatory)

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Firewall L2 Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Palo Alto (PAN‑OS) and Check Point (R80.x) firewalls. The role involves daily operations, policy administration, VPN troubleshooting, security monitoring, and L2 escalation support for enterprise network security environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage & update firewall policies, objects, NAT rules, security profiles
• Handle L2 troubleshooting for Palo Alto & Check Point firewalls
