Job Description
Job Purpose
Managing the transactional processing activity at Mumbai Industry House & N Delhi Branch for all Business segments. Both Mumbai – IH & Delhi are the largest branches in terms of managing volume and value of transactions, as also the size of the investor base supported by them. Mumbai – IH & Delhi manage an investor base of 5.43 lacs & 1.37 lacs respectively and an AUM size of 39,000 crores and 10,000 crores respectively.
The team in these branches needs to ensure accurate and timely transactions processing, for an investor base which includes retail investors and a large chunk of Institutional investors, within the laid down Standard Operating Process and adhering to Regulatory guidelines.
The job also involves providing accurate and timely information for deployment of funds, with around Rs. 3,000 crores being deployed based on information from these 2 branches. The job also requires providing support to internal as well as external stake holders.
Key challenges:
- Large Volumes of transactions with large Values.
- Handling a large base of Institutional transactions having unique requirements and expectations.
- Large number of transactions received by way of Fax.
- Huge amount of funds reported daily for deployment in clearance based funds.
- Processing of KYC for new as well as existing customers.
- Maintaining a very efficient TAT for Institutional investors for whom the response time is very short, and thus providing a best in class service.
- Supporting multiple Business segments, with varied requirements.
- Ensuring correct documentation for institutional investors to have a smooth transaction experience.
- Keeping self updated with latest developments in the industry/ Regulations.
Key Result Areas
KRA1 Transaction acceptance and processing
Supporting Actions
- Accepting transactions and processing the same within the laid down SOP’s and regulatory guidelines.
- Quality Check of transactions.
- Accurate and timely reporting of funds for deployment.
- Banking of payment instruments for clearance based schemes and FMPs.
KRA2 Adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Display of NAV as per the guidelines.
- Ensuring no regulatory deviation in the branch related to transaction processing.
KRA3 Reconciliation of Transactions
- Reconciling received transactions with processed transactions.
- Verify processing and accuracy.
KRA4 To liaise with internal and external clients
- To liaise with Banks, Sales Team and HO for transaction related activities.
- To liaise with Sales / Sales support to clear any issues related to transaction processing.
- To build a strong relationship with service providers/vendors like transfer agents, bankers, courier etc at local level.
KRA5 To process KYC Applications received at the branch
- Accepting and processing of KYC’s within the guidelines.
- To reconcile the KYC’s processed and to ensure that No KYC is rejected at the KRA’s end.
