The Group Chief Accountant’s Department (GCAD) is part of Unilever’s Controller’s organization and is responsible for external financial reporting, global financial controls (including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance), management of the Group audit relationship, and the development and implementation of Unilever’s accounting policies. GCAD also plays a key role in a range of strategic initiatives that support how Unilever measures, reports, and communicates its financial performance to external stakeholders. The Assistant Finance Manager – Group Balance Sheet Reporting reports to the Senior Finance Manager – Global Group Accounting and is responsible for supporting the preparation and review of Unilever’s Balance Sheet. The role involves analysing Balance sheet and major movements across balance sheet items, supporting external reporting and control activities, partnering with markets and key stakeholders to resolve reporting queries, and driving continuous improvements in Balance sheet reporting processes, governance, and automation. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in Group reporting, technical accounting, and financial controls while working with stakeholders across Treasury, Investor Relations, Business Finance, and external auditors.
