Job summary

MSKA & Associates in Gurugram is seeking an experienced Assurance professional with 3-5 years of experience. The role involves performing testing procedures including substantive and controls testing, vouching, and verification, while supporting the team on engagement formalities.

You will supervise junior team members, act as SPOC for data flow with clients, and ensure timely delivery of working papers in compliance with firm policies.

Qualifications

• CA qualification required.
• Location Gurugram.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures including substantive and controls testing, vouching, verification, etc.
• Provide support to the team manager on Assurance engagement formalities; handle areas and work allocated including testing.
• Prepare Assurance work papers and ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and supervise junior team members including article staff.
• Act as a SPOC for the team with the client regarding data flow, communication and coordination; manage information flow.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams including client personnel for information/data; support standardization of processes and documentation.

Role & responsibilities

• Performing testing procedures including substantive and controls testing, vouching, verification, etc.
• Provide necessary support to the team manager on Assurance engagement formalities Handle areas and work allocated including testing and relevant Assurance procedures
• Prepare Assurance work papers and ensure compliance with firms policies and procedures and also regulatory requirements.
• Manage and supervise junior team members including article staff.
• Act as a SPOC for the team with the client in terms of data flow, communication, coordination and discussions
• Coordinate with internal and external teams including client personnel for information/ data Support the team on standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues, and research solutions.
• Support the team manager in project management, preparing status updated, compiling requirements lists, etc Participate in meeting with various teams, and contribute for the areas and responsibilities handled.
• Understanding business & industry issues / trends. Ensuring timely delivery of working papers as per the defined timelines.
• Ensuring compliance with engagement plans, internal quality & risk management procedures.

Experience - 3-5 years of experience

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of experience into Assurance
• Should have strong proficiency in English both written and oral.
• Should possess excellent knowledge of Assurance Should possess excellent knowledge of accounting standards, including and specifically Ind AS.
• Should have strong proficiency of using excel and spreadsheets. Have good understanding of concepts around accounting and Assurance, including familiarity with financial statements.
• Relevant article ship experience - primarily and substantially be in Assurance
• Have experience of working on site and performing Assurance, including client and team management experience.
• Have experience of reviewing financial statements, compiling Assurance reports, etc
• Have knowledge and experience of Assurance documentation, preparing and completing Assurance work papers etc
