Job summary

Oges Solutions in Chennai seeks a skilled Assistant Manager AME to lead projects that optimize headcount and cycle times through automation, fixtures development, and line balancing. The role focuses on from concept to handover, aligning with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

  • Lean manufacturing experience is required.
  • Hands-on automation project initiation from concept to handover.
  • Concept development and building small prototypes.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
  • Collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads and functional leads.
  • Hands-on experience developing a new line with fixtures and tools.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities on the assembly line to optimize headcount and cycle time.
  • Create CAPEX approval requests with concept development and ROI calculation.
  • Periodically conduct Yamazumi study and implement lean tools to reduce waste.
  • Work as a team with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Supplier from concept generation to project completion.
  • Update SOP, layout and related documents as per process modifications.
  • Monitor OEE and initiate actions for further improvements.
  • Define the process flow, estimate cycle time, headcount and manufacturing cost.
  • Create SOP for the product and train the Operators for new processes.
  • Accountable for new product production till handover with Production team.

Purpose of the Job
  1. Plan and Execute Projects to Optimize the Head count in Assembly Line by introducing Automations through Robots & SPM, Cycle time reduction initiatives, Line Balancing
  2. Development of Fixtures & Facilities for New Products as per the Targets and Metrics.
Job Specifications

Designation / Title : Assistant Manager AME
Experience Range : 5-7 Years
Qualifications : DME or B.E Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Industry : Appliances / Automobile / Engineering / Electrical / Auto Ancillary / Plastics/ Sheet metal

Key Competencies required
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands on Experience in Automation Project initiation to Handing over.
  • Hands-on experience Concept development & building small prototypes.
  • Experience in Handling Multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing
  • Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads and functional leads.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create SOP for the Product and Train the Operators for new processes.
  • Accountable over New Product Production till smooth Handing over with Production team.
