Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client in Mumbai to recruit a qualified Chartered Accountant. The role oversees finance across multiple legal entities, with a focus on accounting, reporting and controls.

The successful candidate will manage monthly book closure, prepare MIS and KPI reports, ensure compliance with Ind AS/IFRS, and coordinate audits. Strong Excel skills and stakeholder management are essential in this corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Have minimum 2 years of experience or exposure to manufacturing industry or companies.
• Have strong experience in accounting, financial reporting and monthly book closure.
• Possess sound knowledge of Ind AS and/or IFRS.
• Have exposure to statutory audits, internal audits and ICFR.
• Have prior experience within a corporate or industry environment.
• Possess good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Tally Prime would be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ownership and analytical ability.
• Possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Have a proactive approach with a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Managing finance and accounting activities across multiple legal entities and holding companies.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Managing monthly book closure and reviewing trial balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Preparing and reviewing MIS reports, KPIs and financial metrics to support management decision-making.
• Coordinating with external professional services teams, providing necessary guidance and reviewing their deliverables.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, SOPs, documentary controls and established financial processes.
• Managing statutory audits, internal audits and ICFR requirements.
• Strengthening internal controls and driving accuracy and process discipline within the finance function.
• Collaborating with operations, legal and senior management to improve financial efficiency and support business objectives.
