Job summary

Propel Industries in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore district, seeks a senior embedded software engineer for automotive EV ECUs. You will design and implement embedded software in C/C++/Codesys, develop control and diagnostics, and validate software across bench and vehicle environments.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, strong CAN/LIN/UDS knowledge, and expertise in EV calibration with MATLAB/Simulink. Familiarity with Vector tools is a plus. On-site in Coimbatore, India.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of automotive embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Embedded C, C++, Python, and Codesys.
• Deep expertise in vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, UDS diagnostics, CAN stack).
• Hands-on experience in EV calibration (motor control, thermal management, BMS) and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Proven background in debugging complex system-level hardware/software/network issues.
• Knowledge of FMEA and functional safety flows is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud/edge analytics and fleet diagnostics is desirable.

• Software Development: Design and develop embedded software for EV truck ECUs (VCU, BCM, Gateway) using C, C++, Codesys, and Python following automotive standards.
• Control & Diagnostics: Implement control logic, calibrations, and diagnostics for critical vehicle functions (motor control, thermal management, BMS).
• Testing & Validation: Perform unit/integration testing, bench-level testing, SIL/HIL, and vehicle-level validation using Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe).
• Architecture & Documentation: Create technical specifications, manage software version control, and ensure robust release management for production.
