Job summary

RAIN Cements Limited invites applications for a maintenance-focused role in its cement plant operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning weekly and annual maintenance activities, coordinating manpower and materials, and leading a team of experienced mechanical engineers to ensure uninterrupted production.

Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience with crushers, kilns, mills, and roller presses, and with knowledge of vibration analysis, thermography, and other

Qualifications

• Experience with core cement plant equipment maintenance and planning.
• Ability to read GA drawings and spare parts lists.
• Leadership of a team of mechanical engineers in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques (vibration, thermography).
• Capability to optimize energy and fuel consumption in plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly and annual maintenance for cement plant equipment, including manpower, material, and external agencies.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers on the shop floor.
• Identify and track key performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and drive improvements.

• Must have knowledge of all the core equipment in the cement industry like crushers, stackers, reclaimers, rotary kilns, Ball mills, Roller presses, pollution control equipment like ESPs and RABHs and packers including truck loading machine.
• Must be able to handle the pre clink erization maintenance activities independently.
• Must have hands on experience in planning for weekly and annual maintenance both in terms of manpower, material and outsourced agencies.
• Must be able to carry out in site modifications to reduce the power/fuel consumption.
• Must have sufficient knowledge in spare parts and GA drawings reading and fabrications drawings.
• Must have hands on experience in leading a team of experienced professional mechanical engineers.
• Must be a able to think out of the box and trouble shoot all the problems that will be en countered during day to day operation of equipment.
• Must be a team leader to lead the work force at the shop floor level.
• Must to understand and evaluate key performance indicators for all the equipment like MTBF, MTTR,Rs/MT OEE/planned vs break down costs, repair and maintenance costs etc.
• Should identify the potential of the individual members in the department and take actions to bridge the gaps.
• Should understand various condition monitoring techniques like Vibration, ferro graphic analysis, thermal imaging, laser alignment etc.
• Should have hands on experience in the indigenization of the spare parts supplied by OEM.
• Also should have knowledge of the jobs which are very rare in nature like kiln shell/tyre/supporting Roller/Roller Press roller and VRM Roller etc.
