The role centers on building and embedding preventive, predictive, and TPM frameworks to transform maintenance from reactive to proactive, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and safety across the facility. You will drive asset performance, implement data-driven decision making, and foster a zero-breakdown culture while collaborating with production, quality, and
Location: Manufacturing Plant, Alwar
Greenscape Eco Management is a pioneering Indian urban‑mining company, founded in 2007, that transforms end‑of‑life electronics and electrical goods into valuable secondary materials. Rather than viewing disposed TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and other electronic waste as mere refuse, Greenscape treats them as urban mines: sources of precious and base metals such as gold, copper, aluminium and rare earths.
Through advanced recovery processes and a robust circular‑economy framework, Greenscape has recycled tens of thousands of metric tons of electronic waste and extracted over 40 different metals and minerals.
By doing so, the company reduces environmental footprint, curbs demand on virgin raw‑material mining, and contributes to sustainable resource management, aligning with broader climate, resource‑conservation and social goals.
The AGM Plant Maintenance will lead the end‑to‑end maintenance function across the plant, with a strong emphasis on institutionalizing Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) frameworks. The role involves building structured systems, processes, and capabilities to transition the maintenance function from a reactive approach to a proactive and reliability‑driven model.
The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, operational reliability, and uninterrupted production, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, statutory compliance, and cost efficiency. This includes driving rigorous maintenance planning, effective resource utilization, and data‑driven decision‑making to optimize asset performance across the plant.
A key focus of the role will be to embed a culture of zero breakdowns, zero accidents, and continuous improvement, by strengthening root cause analysis, enforcing discipline in maintenance execution, and building ownership within the team. The AGM will also play a pivotal role in enhancing maintenance maturity, through adoption of TPM practices, predictive tools, digital maintenance systems (CMMS), and best‑in‑class industry benchmarks.
In addition, the role will be instrumental in aligning maintenance with broader plant objectives, working closely with production, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure seamless operations. Overall, this position is critical in transforming the maintenance function into a strategic enabler of productivity, efficiency, and long‑term asset reliability, supporting the organizations journey towards a professionally managed, high‑performance manufacturing setup.
Take end‑to‑end ownership of asset performance across the plant by minimizing unplanned downtime and ensuring consistent machine availability. Establish systems to monitor equipment health in real time, prioritize critical assets, and proactively address potential failure points. Drive a reliability‑first mindset where maintenance planning is tightly aligned with production requirements.
Establish structured dashboards and review mechanisms (daily/weekly/monthly) to track trends, identify deviations, and drive corrective actions.
Institutionalize structured problem‑solving methodologies (Why‑Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, Pareto Analysis) to identify root causes of recurring failures. Ensure that all major breakdowns and chronic issues are thoroughly analyzed, and robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) are implemented, tracked, and closed. Build a knowledge repository of failures and learnings to avoid recurrence.
Establish clear protocols for breakdown reporting, escalation, and resolution. Ensure quick response times, defined ownership during incidents, and effective coordination between maintenance, production, and stores teams. Standardize breakdown reporting formats and post‑breakdown analysis to improve future response.
Build a high‑accountability culture where maintenance teams and operators take ownership of equipment health. Promote proactive identification of abnormalities, adherence to maintenance standards, and continuous improvement. Embed TPM principles to move towards zero breakdowns, zero defects, and zero accidents, making reliability a shared responsibility across functions.
Take complete ownership of uninterrupted operation of all plant utilities, recognizing them as the backbone of production. Establish robust monitoring, preventive maintenance, and redundancy systems to ensure zero disruption to operations due to utility failures. Prioritize critical utilities based on their impact on production and ensure high availability at all times.
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the high‑capacity substation, ensuring compliance with all statutory and electrical safety norms. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance practices for transformers, switchgear, panels, and distribution systems. Monitor load management, power quality (voltage, harmonics), and ensure proper protection systems are in place. Coordinate with DISCOMs and regulatory authorities for outages, load planning, and compliance.
Ensure reliable availability of compressed air by maintaining compressors, dryers, receivers, and distribution lines. Monitor pressure stability, air quality, and leakages. Drive initiatives to reduce air losses and improve system efficiency, as compressed air is often a high‑cost utility.
Oversee all plant water systems including raw water intake, treatment (RO/softeners), circulation, and discharge. Ensure adequate availability of process and utility water while maintaining quality standards. Monitor consumption, reduce wastage, and ensure compliance with environmental norms for discharge and recycling.
Define and track key utility metrics such as:
Utility downtime
Establish dashboards and regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Partner with the production team to align maintenance schedules with production plans, minimizing disruption while maximizing equipment availability. Ensure maintenance activities are planned proactively during shutdown windows and do not impact throughput. Work jointly to identify bottlenecks, recurring breakdowns, and performance losses, and implement solutions that improve line efficiency and output. Build a strong feedback loop where operators actively report abnormalities and support autonomous maintenance.
Coordinate with the quality team to identify equipment‑related causes of product defects and process variations. Ensure machines are maintained within defined operating parameters to deliver consistent product quality. Support root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective actions from a maintenance standpoint (calibration, alignment, wear part replacement, etc.). Drive initiatives to reduce variability and ensure process stability through reliable equipment performance.
Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of critical spares, consumables, and maintenance services. Define technical specifications, identify critical spare parts, and support vendor selection and qualification. Drive cost optimization through vendor development, standardization of parts, and long‑term contracts. Ensure optimal inventory levels by balancing availability with working capital efficiency.
Ensure accurate tracking and availability of maintenance spares in coordination with stores. Establish systems for proper codification, inventory control, and consumption tracking. Minimize stock‑outs and excess inventory through better planning and coordination.
Act as a key integrator across functions to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with overall plant objectives such as production targets, cost efficiency, quality standards, and safety. Participate in daily/weekly plant reviews, proactively flag risks, and ensure timely resolution of cross‑functional issues. Drive accountability and ownership across teams to ensure smooth execution and minimal operational friction.
Break functional silos by fostering collaboration, transparency, and shared accountability across departments. Encourage joint problem‑solving, data sharing, and aligned KPIs to ensure that all functions work towards common plant performance goals rather than individual objectives.
