Job summary

Vertiv Co in Mumbai invites a Liquid Cooling Project Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced liquid cooling systems for data centres.

Candidates should have a strong background in Thermal Management, Fluid Dynamics, and Project Coordination, with hands-on experience in HVAC piping, pumps, and BIM-enabled design.

This role requires cross-functional teamwork across Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME).
• Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, CAESAR II.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
• Understanding of sustainable and energy-efficient systems.
• Certification in piping/design (preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proven track record in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead liquid cooling system projects from concept to completion.
• Participate in project meetings and provide design inputs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing).
• Review and approve designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Possess design and execution knowledge in HVAC chilled water piping, Plumbing systems, Fire line piping.
• Develop test plans and validate cooling system performance.
• Analyse test data and improve system performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Strong fundamentals in Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics & Fluid Mechanics.
• Understanding of control systems and sensor integration.
• Perform preventive maintenance, Bulletin implementation & troubleshooting of field issues within SLA.
• Mentor and support team members.
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting.
