Job summary

Ramboll in India invites applications for the role of Assistant Engineer - Civil Structures, REC in Bengaluru. You will join the bridge design team, perform FE modelling, analysis and design of bridges under guidance, and collaborate with project teams to deliver quality designs on schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (ME/M.Tech in Structures desirable) with 1–2 years bridge design experience and familiarity with Eurocode, AASHTO or related standards, and design

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
• ME/M.Tech in Structures would be desirable.
• 1–2 years of bridge design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of design codes like Eurocode/DMRB/AASHTO desirable.
• Hands-on with bridge design software (LUSAS/STAAD Pro etc).
• CAD tools like AutoCAD/MicroStation and CAD standards awareness.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

As a member of the bridge team you will be responsible for:

• FE modelling, analysis and structural design of bridge and allied structures under the guidance of seniors in the team
• Coordination within the design team for project planning/preparation of schedule/WBS and delivering projects to time and budget,
• Should take initiatives to develop design ability of self and improve the quality of delivery of the team as whole,
• We are looking for self-motivated team members who meet the following requirements:
• BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/ M. Tech in Structures would be desirable,
• Should have more than 1 - 2 years of experience in bridge design. Knowledge of design codes like Euro code/DMRB/AASHTO/any other international standards would be desirable,
• knowledge of understanding of the analysis and design principles of bridge design,
• have hands on experience in using any of the bridge design software (LUSAS/ STAAD Pro etc),
• knowledge of other related software like Sofistik etc. would be desirable,
• should have knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/Micro station and ensuring drawings are prepared in accordance with CAD standards, internationally recognized standard formats in addition to technical / functional acumen, he should have good communication skills and should be able to present their work.
• Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project
• Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
