Symbroj Media Private Limited in Delhi seeks an ambitious Editor to join its editorial team, shaping content for a magazine and news portal across metro rail, railways, and infrastructure sectors.

You will research, write, edit, and coordinate with designers, sales and marketing to publish daily and monthly features, interviews, whitepapers, and industry insights, with growth potential up to Board induction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
• Prior experience in writing, editing, or proofreading (media/publishing experience preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and editorial style.
• Creative mindset with curiosity across topics.
• Ability to generate compelling story ideas and headlines.
• Strong editorial judgment to assess ethics, relevance, and evidence in stories.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of editorial ethics, accuracy, and quality.
• Research, collect, write, and edit content including news articles, features, cover stories, interviews, whitepapers and research papers.
• Publish news stories/articles daily on the news portal.
• Write at least one featured editorial/article every month on developments in High-Speed Rail, RRTS, and smart public transportation.
• Coordinate with designers to ensure timely magazine layouts.
• Review and proofread all content before publication for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
• Verify facts, data, and sources cited in articles.
• Allocate space for text, images, graphics, and illustrations in coordination with design team.
• Support sales and marketing with promotional content such as banners and emailers.
• Conduct and coordinate media interviews with industry leaders and officials.
• Encourage and manage Call for Papers from professionals in metro, rail, infrastructure, and urban mobility.
• Review and evaluate submitted articles for quality publication.
• Support quality control by reviewing each magazine issue before release.
• Promote the magazine and news portal through social media and events.

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic, and detail-oriented Editor to join our editorial team. The selected candidate will play a key role in creating high-quality content for our magazine and news portal, while contributing to the overall editorial strategy and brand growth.

The role involves researching, writing, editing, and coordinating content related to Metro Rail, Railways, High-Speed Rail, RRTS, Urban Mobility, and Infrastructure sectors. The candidate will also work closely with designers, sales, and marketing teams to ensure timely publication and strong industry engagement.

The objective of this role is to drive sustainable editorial growth through impactful articles, whitepapers, media interviews, research papers, and strong relationships with industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of editorial ethics, accuracy, and quality
• Research, collect, write, and edit content including:
  • News articles
  • Feature articles
  • Cover stories
  • Media interviews
  • Whitepapers and research papers
  • Opinions, tenders, and contract-related updates
• Publish news stories/articles daily on the news portal
• Write at least one featured editorial/article every month on recent developments in:
  • High-Speed Rail
  • RRTS projects
  • Smart and sustainable public transportation
• Coordinate with designers to ensure timely completion of magazine layouts
• Review and proofread all content before publication to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency
• Verify facts, data, and sources cited in articles
• Allocate space for text, images, graphics, and illustrations in coordination with the design team
• Support the sales and marketing team in creating promotional content such as banners, emailers, and creatives
• Conduct and coordinate media interviews with:
  • Industry leaders
  • Senior government officials (Urban Development, Transport, Railways)
  • Metro rail operators, EPC contractors, consultants, and service providers
• Encourage and manage “Call for Papers” from professionals in the metro, rail, infrastructure, and urban mobility ecosystem
• Review and evaluate submitted articles for fair and quality publication
• Support quality control by reviewing each magazine issue before release
• Promote the magazine and news portal through social media, industry events, conferences, and forums
• Perform additional editorial assignments as directed by the Editorial Board

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field

Prior experience in writing, editing, or proofreading (media/publishing experience preferred)

Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and editorial style

CTC Range: ₹2.4 LPA – ₹3.6 LPA (based on experience and skills)

No fixed salary structure initially; compensation aligned with performance and role fit

All approved official travel and outdoor expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of actual bills
