We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director, Wholesale Credit Risk Analytics

In this role, you will:

• The role will be responsible for supporting Wholesale Credit Risk Analytics(WCRA) policy and governance unit in the following capacities:
• Overall model and analytics governance for WCRA function across the Model Life Cycle (MLC) aligned to Model Risk management (MRM) controls framework and policy obligations
• Independently manage and drive consistent controls activities, uplift and enhance processes as required, improve MI, data quality and operational efficiency while remaining audit/regulator ready
• Drive disciplined issue management through to sustainable “Path to Green” closure. Undertake various BAU activities (including forums, packs, minutes, actions, escalations etc.) to ensure alignment with global model risk management standards
• Understand the regulatory standards and principles (eg. SS1/23) and adhere to the same for Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) models. Prepare and communicate progress reports, adapting content for different audiences and levels of seniority
• Interface with senior stakeholders including WCRA leads, Regional counterparts, Project owners, Model Risk Management (MRM), Chief Control Office (CCO), Assurance, Audit, Data, Financial Engineering etc. to ensure compliance and effective governance
• Work closely with senior onshore team members in executing specific tasks and projects
• Multitask on simultaneous engagements on controls and governance activities for Wholesale Credit Risk

To be successful you will:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in banking, analytics, consultancy, advisory or governance & reporting functions
• Understanding of regulatory implications and experience in risk analytics is preferable (credit risk, model risk, compliance risk, operational risk, assurance, audit etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of reporting & BI Tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx etc.). Advanced VBA, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills. Hands‑on coding (preferably in Python) or automation experience with contribution in process improvement and tooling initiatives will be a plus
• Experience with governance procedures, documenting processes and reporting workflows
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical and technical personnel.
• Master’s degree or higher in a field such as finance, economics, MBA etc. Open and flexible to work with colleagues in other areas/timezones where appropriate
• Knowledge and understanding of wholesale portfolio risk drivers, their use and impact on capital requirements; knowledge of regulatory capital and its components.
• Knowledge of Advanced Internal rating Based Models (AIRB)/IFRS9 PD, LGD or EAD credit model development would be a plus. Decent understanding and interpretation of regulatory rules. Strong coding skills in Python, R, SAS, Matlab, SQL etc. would be essential.
• Certifications like FRM, CQF or SCR will be preferable.
