Job summary

Mahindra Aerostructures in Bengaluru is seeking a finance professional with 3–4 years of experience in financial accounting. The role focuses on closing, statutory audits, asset management, and tax compliance within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

You will work with SAP FI/Asset modules, ensure IND AS compliance, and produce accurate financial statements and adhoc reports for management. This position is based in Bengaluru with on-site operations.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Experience with IND AS and statutory audits is preferable.
• Proficiency in tax accounting, GST, and income tax workings.
• MS Excel, MIS and analytics skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements with accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate statutory audits and auditor queries to meet timelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely close of books.
• Drive direct tax activities including IT returns and transfer pricing work.
• End-to-end fixed asset accounting: CAPEX budget, capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposal.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and perform asset verification.
• SAP FI/Asset Module administration and GL review for accuracy.
• Ensure IND AS compliant accounting and internal control adherence (ICOFR).
• Prepare adhoc reports for management and compliance.

Key Accountabilities Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting, Audit & Other Activities - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Responsible for Preparing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
• Coordinate for statutory audit activities, including auditor coordination, schedule preparation, query resolution. Coordinated with internal stakeholders to ensure completion of statutory audits within stringent reporting timelines (usual time lines 31st Mar XY to be closed by 15th Apr XY).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely closure of books.
• Responsible for driving tax audit and other direct tax-related activities including Income Tax Return filing, Transfer Pricing audit, assessments & scrutiny proceedings.
• Basic knowledge on consolidation is desirable.
• Knowledge on Hyperion related activies is an added advantage.
• Fixed Assets - Responsible for end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting, including CAPEX budget monitoring, asset capitalization, depreciation processing, asset transfers, and disposal.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting schedules.
• Conduct periodic asset verification and reconciliation.
• SAP & Systems Management - Workign Knowledge on SAP FI and Asset Module is added advantage.
• Monitor and GL review for completeness and accuracy.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data from SAP is an added advantage.
• Compliance & Controls - Ensure compliance and accurate accounting treatment as per IND AS and corporate policies.
• Ensure internal control adherence (IFC / ICOFR).
• Adhoc Reports & Works Should be able to prepare adhoc reports and able to meet the requirements of Management and Compliance.
