Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Pune, India, seeks an Asset Services specialist (Fixed income / Claims / Redemptions) to manage accruals, record dates and payments to institutional counterparties for corporate actions. The role requires 4–5 years in Investment Banking Ops with strong Corporate Actions knowledge and excellent English communication.

You will liaise with internal and external teams, work across DB systems, and support a 50–60% processing focus while supervising deliverables and maintaining

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in Investment Banking Operations / Custody Operations with 2–3 years in Fixed income / Claims / Redemptions.
• Strong knowledge of Corporate Actions.
• Excellent English written and verbal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work in relevant geography business hours; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between DBOI and onshore/nearshore partners.
• Handle high volumes; escalate issues timely to Team Manager/Onshore Clients.
• Process day-to-day activities within benchmarks with minimal errors.
• Reconcile trade positions/books for entitlements.
• Book new positions in DB systems.
• Chase counterparties on claims and initiate payments.
• Post-pay-date reconciliation and file closure.
• Allocate work from system queues and emails; ensure controls.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Liaising between DBOI & onshore / nearshore partners
• The candidate should also be able to handle huge volumes and elevate issues at the right time to the Team Manager / Onshore Clients
• Process day to day activities within set benchmarks with minimal error. Activities may include
• Reconciliation of trade positions / books for entitlements
• Booking of new positions in various DB systems
• Chasing counterparties on claims & initiating payments
• Post pay date reconciliation & File Closure
• Spend 50-60% of the time in actual transaction processing. To supervise day to day deliverables of the process/sub-process assigned. Will be the first escalation for exceptions & aged breaks.
• Processing & supervising sub-processes and ensure accuracy as per the SLA / benchmarks.
• Work allocation to PEs, received through system queues & E-mail requests
• Candidate needs to ensure that the relevant controls are executed & be responsible for 4 eyes.
• Ensure strict adherence to all internal and external process guidelines including compliance and legal so as to build robust control environment. Ensure there are no KPI miss, Breaches & Violation.
• To keep Team Manager informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action and also responsible for managing the team in his/her absence.
• Leave Management for entire Team
• Candidate will be required to train this function to other acceptable candidates, so must possess training skills.

• Internal clients, Event Management, Client Services Group
• Brokers/Clients and Custodians contact via Phone and or Email
• Other internal teams onshore, near shore & offshore
• Operations Control on break issues Bangalore/London/Franfurt/Jacksonville/Pune

Your Skills And Experience

• 4 to 5 years experience in Investment Banking Operations / Custody Operations with at least 2-3 years of experience Fixed income / Claims/Redemptions or Income experience
• Strong Corporate Actions knowledge
• Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.
• Strong English written & verbal skills required.
• Ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Be willing to work in relevant geography business hours
• Ready to travel as and when required
• Be willing to work in shifts
