Asset Performance Process Engineer at Chevron
Drive the optimization of Chevron’s shale and tight assets through data analysis, performance monitoring, and strategic insight. The role combines digital technologies with field operations expertise to reduce costs, improve reliability, and enable informed decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Gather, analyze, and interpret performance data from shale and tight oil and gas assets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain real‑time dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
- Utilize statistical tools and software to model asset performance and forecast outcomes.
- Performance Optimization
- Partner with engineering, operations, and production teams to implement strategies that enhance asset performance and efficiency.
- Conduct root‑cause analyses to diagnose performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators, establish benchmarks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance for deploying new technologies aimed at improving reliability and production efficiency.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies that can enhance data collection and analysis capabilities.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate performance insights and recommendations to senior management through presentations and reports.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on performance goals and initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance analytics or a related role within the oil and gas industry, preferably on shale and tight assets.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or similar.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques specific to oil and gas operations.
- Foundational financial acumen.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for shale and tight oil and gas production.
