Systems Plus Pvt. Ltd. in Pune is seeking an AS400 Level 2 support specialist with 6-8 years of experience in AS400/IBM i and JDA MMS.

The role involves end-to-end L2 support for AS400-based applications, troubleshooting, and collaboration with L3 and cross‑functional teams to ensure system stability and smooth delivery of retail modules such as WMS, MAO, and Storenet. The ideal candidate has strong RPGLE/ILE RPG/SQLRPGLE/CL/CLLE programming skills, extensive DB2 for i knowledge, and familiarity

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of overall experience in AS400/IBM i and JDA MMS support with hands-on L2 application and production support. Retail domain experience is a strong advantage.
• Provide end-to-end L2 support for AS400/IBM i-based applications, including JDA MMS and related retail modules such as WMS, MAO and Storenet.
• Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting for data inconsistencies, application errors, job failures, batch failures, interface issues, and production incidents.
• Strong hands-on programming in RPGLE, ILE RPG (fixed and free-format), SQLRPGLE with embedded SQL, and CL/CLLE for troubleshooting, analysis, minor enhancements, and fixes.
• Extensive knowledge of DB2 for i, including complex SQL queries, joins, views, stored procedures, data analysis, and SQL performance optimization.
• Knowledge of DDS including physical files, logical files, display files, and printer files.
• Root cause analysis for recurring/complex issues and implementing corrective/preventive actions to improve stability.
• Run approved scripts, resolve batch failures, perform system/app resets, and implement moderately complex production fixes within change/support processes.
• Monitor application/system performance, analyze critical alerts, and participate in proactive problem management, health checks, data validations, and performance improvements.
• Work with L3 teams, infrastructure, database, business users, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve incidents and integration issues.
• Experience with source change management and code promotion tools (Aldon, Turnover, ARCAD) and change control/release processes.
• Understanding of IBM i journaling/commitment control to support data integrity and recovery analyses.
• Experience with GoAnywhere MFT or similar managed file transfer solutions, including troubleshooting file transfers and integrations.
• Mentor and train L1 support on ticketing, classification, basic troubleshooting, escalation, and SOPs.
• Review L1 outputs to ensure accuracy and proper escalation for deeper analysis.
• Maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and support documentation for L1/L2 teams.
• Take ownership of escalated incidents, provide regular updates, communicate RCA and resolution details, and coordinate for priority issues.
• Support audits, compliance, process improvements, and 24x7 on-call operations in hybrid/remote environments.
