FIS is seeking an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer Lead to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions across the enterprise. You will collaborate with solution architects, data scientists, and ML engineers to deliver scalable AI-powered applications and integrations.

Role emphasizes hands-on development, exploring generative AI, agentic workflows, and end-to-end systems with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• 4+ years of overall technology experience, including 4+ years in AI/ML/Generative AI/Agentic AI.
• Strong hands-on experience designing/building solutions using LLMs, agentic systems, prompt engineering, model orchestration, context management, and RAG.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, and pandas.
• Experience deploying enterprise AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including API integrations and vector DB tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Generative AI applications leveraging LLMs, retrieval systems, and enterprise data sources
• Develop agent-based solutions incorporating planning, memory, tool usage, orchestration, and autonomous task execution
• Implement and optimize Agentic AI workflows, including multi-agent systems and human-in-the-loop processes
• Build and maintain RESTful services and enterprise integrations using Python, Flask, and FastAPI
• Evaluate AI models, agents, and end-to-end systems for accuracy, reliability, safety, grounding, and performance

About The Role

As an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer Lead, you will help develop and deploy advanced Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions that drive innovation across FIS. You will work alongside solution architects, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to build intelligent applications, agent-based systems, and enterprise AI integrations. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands‑on development to deliver scalable, reliable, and business‑focused AI solutions.

What you bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience


• 4+ years of overall technology experience, including 4+ years focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Agentic AI


• Strong hands‑on experience designing and building solutions using large language models, agentic systems, prompt engineering, model orchestration, context management, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG)


• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit‑learn, and pandas


• Experience deploying enterprise AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including API integrations and vector database technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fine‑tuning large language models, including parameter‑efficient techniques such as LoRA and QLoRA


• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or OpenAI Assistants API


• Knowledge of production‑grade machine learning operations, monitoring, observability, security, compliance, and data governance practices for AI systems
