Job summary

Fynd (Shopsense Retail Technologies Ltd.) is seeking an Art Director to lead the creative direction and execution of its visual communications. You will guide the Graphic Design team, craft strong concepts, and ensure output meets high craft and consistency.

You will collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership to deliver clear, distinctive work, mentor designers, and evolve the brand across campaigns, digital, and on-ground applications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in graphic design, brand design, or related creative field with leadership experience.
• Strong portfolio showing brand systems, integrated campaigns, and high-quality visual execution.
• Excellent understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, colour, and grids.

We are looking for an Art Director to lead the creative direction and execution of Fynd's visual communication. This role will guide the Graphic Design team, translate business and brand goals into strong creative concepts, and ensure every output meets a high standard of craft and consistency. The Art Director will work closely with marketing, content, product, business, and leadership teams to deliver work that is clear, distinctive, and effective.

What will you do at Fynd?

• Set the creative direction for brand campaigns, product launches, social media, events, presentations, employer branding, and other key communication initiatives.
• Turn briefs and business objectives into clear visual concepts, campaign ideas, and design systems.
• Lead projects from concept development through final delivery, including visual exploration, reviews, feedback, and quality checks.
• Guide graphic designers on typography, layout, colour, illustration, imagery, motion, and overall visual storytelling.
• Review creative work and give specific, constructive feedback that improves both the idea and the execution.
• Maintain and evolve brand guidelines so that communication remains consistent across teams, formats, and channels.
• Partner with copywriters, marketers, product designers, photographers, filmmakers, agencies, and external vendors when required.
• Manage multiple priorities and timelines while protecting creative quality and meeting delivery commitments.
• Use AI-assisted creative tools thoughtfully for ideation, exploration, rapid prototyping, image generation, and production workflows.
• Present concepts and creative rationale to senior stakeholders, respond to feedback, and build alignment on the final direction.
• Support team planning, allocate work based on skills and capacity, and identify opportunities to improve the design process.
• Mentor designers, strengthen their craft, and help build a collaborative and accountable creative culture.

Some specific Requirements:

• 7 or more years of experience in graphic design, brand design, visual communication, or a related creative field, including experience leading creative work or a design team.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems, integrated campaigns, digital design, social content, and high-quality visual execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with Figma is required.
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, colour, grids, image selection, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with business goals, timelines, channel requirements, and production constraints.
• Experience developing concepts across different formats, including static, motion, digital, print, presentations, and on-ground brand applications.
• Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain creative decisions to design and non-design stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the judgement to identify when work is ready to be released.
• Experience mentoring designers and creating a structured review and feedback process.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with multiple teams and changing priorities.

Good to Have

• Experience in a technology, retail, e-commerce, SaaS, consumer, or digital-first company.
• Working knowledge of motion design, video direction, photography, 3D, or illustration workflows.
• Experience managing agencies, freelancers, production partners, and campaign budgets.
• Hands-on experience with AI design and image-generation tools, along with sound judgement on brand safety and output quality.
