Job summary

WisdomWood High is seeking an Art & Design Teacher to lead a vibrant art program across Bangalore, Goa, and Nagaland. The role demands a minimum of 2 years of K-12 teaching experience and a strong portfolio across traditional mediums, digital art, and classroom leadership.

The candidate will develop engaging curricula, curate exhibitions, and foster an inclusive studio culture, while guiding students in digital citizenship and attribution in visual arts. Willingness to relocate is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) or Bachelor of Visual Arts (B.V.A.) or relevant degree in Art Education.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a K-12 school setting.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency across multiple art mediums.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging art curriculum spanning traditional mediums (drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, craft).
• Create safe, inclusive, creative studio environment encouraging student experimentation and expression.
• Introduce students to art history, movements, and contemporary design trends.
• Organize school-wide art exhibitions, gallery walks, and event displays.
• Teach foundational digital art and graphic design alongside traditional techniques.
• Use Google Classroom for assignments, feedback, and critiques.
• Guide students on digital citizenship, copyright, and attribution in visual arts.

The Role
