Ingersoll Rand in Chennai, India is seeking an Area Service Manager to install, commission, and service rotary air compressors. The role requires a strong technical background, customer‑centric approach, and willingness to travel frequently.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to meet revenue and collection targets, coordinate activities, and pursue upgrades while being flexible for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of rotary air compressors.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime/weekends.
• Customer-centric approach and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning & Servicing of Air compressors
• To achieve revenue & collection targets
• Co-ordination on various level internally & externally to get the require work done on time
• Explore the new business opportunities such as upgrades
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
• Frequent travel requirements with some overnight travel
• Ensuring the Customer Satisfaction while managing & working in line with the requirement of allied stake-holders.

• Familiarity with electrical systems, including control circuits and motor control.
• Understanding of pneumatic systems, including piping, valves, and controls.
