PeopleStrong seeks an Area Lead - Mechanical Static for tanks and related equipment on offshore projects in Mumbai. You will lead engineering and design of static packages, coordinate vendors, review technical documents and ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires 15-20 years of experience, BE qualification, and strong leadership to mentor engineers and support tendering activities.

Job Description

Lead engineering and design activities related to static equipment packages, specifically tanks, drums, separators, filters, strainers, and associated equipment.Act as Area Lead for the assigned static equipment scope within major offshore projects.Prepare and review engineering deliverables including:Material Requisitions (MR)Technical SpecificationsEquipment DatasheetsBid Evaluation ReportsTechnical Bid TabulationsVendor Document Review CommentsDesign CalculationsReview and approve design of:Atmospheric Storage TanksPressurized Storage VesselsProduced Water TanksChemical Storage TanksSlop TanksDiesel Storage TanksBasket FiltersDuplex FiltersCoalescer FiltersStrainersCartridge FiltersEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards including API, ASME, ASTM, and client specifications.Coordinate vendor engineering activities and review vendor documents.Lead technical evaluations and vendor selection activities.Ensure timely execution of engineering deliverables as per project schedule.Monitor engineering quality, technical compliance, and design integrity.Support model reviews, constructability reviews, and design optimization studies.Resolve technical issues arising during engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and interface management.Mentor and guide engineers within the static equipment team.Support proposal and tendering activities by providing technical inputs and man-hour estimates.Ensure lessons learned and best engineering practices are incorporated into designs.
