Job summary

IntSpace is seeking a Senior Architect/Interior Designer to own commercial interior projects from the first client interaction through delivery. The role is client-facing with emphasis on sales, relationship management, and solution-oriented discussions.

The candidate will manage the complete lifecycle, coordinate with designers, vendors, and site teams, and ensure design alignment with budgets and schedules. Travel for client meetings and site visits is expected.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Architect / Interior Designer to take ownership of commercial and interior projects from the very first client interaction through to successful project delivery.

This is a client-facing, business-oriented, and execution-focused role. The selected candidate will not only be responsible for design and project execution but will also play an active role in client acquisition, relationship management, requirement understanding, proposal discussions, and sales conversion.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing the complete project lifecycle independently and acting as a key point of contact between the client, internal teams, vendors, and site execution teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Handling & Sales

• Handle clients from the initial enquiry and first interaction through project closure and handover.
• Understand client requirements, budgets, business needs, and project expectations.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, discussions, and site visits.
• Develop strong client relationships and maintain regular communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively participate in converting enquiries into confirmed projects.
• Support business development and sales efforts through effective consultations, presentations, and solution-oriented discussions.
• Prepare and present design concepts, proposals, layouts, material recommendations, and project estimates in coordination with the team.
• Negotiate and coordinate with clients to help drive project closure.

Design & Project Development

• Lead the design process from concept development to detailed design and execution.
• Prepare or oversee space planning, layouts, working drawings, BOQs, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Develop creative, practical, and commercially viable interior solutions.
• Coordinate with designers, architects, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure designs align with client requirements, budget, timelines, functionality, and execution feasibility.

Project & Site Execution

• Take ownership of projects from day one until final site delivery.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate project requirements before execution.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, milestones, materials, vendors, and site activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, fabrication teams, and site supervisors.
• Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, quality, and timelines.
• Identify and resolve design, execution, coordination, and client-related issues proactively.
• Ensure timely project completion while maintaining expected quality standards.
• Manage client expectations and provide regular project updates.
• Oversee final handover and ensure client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in independently handling clients and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of interior design, space planning, materials, finishes, and project execution.
• Ability to balance creative design, client expectations, commercial requirements, and execution realities.
• Experience in preparing layouts, presentations, drawings, BOQs, and project-related documentation.
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to independently manage projects.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and project/site visits as required.

Experience in commercial interiors, office interiors, retail, hospitality, or turnkey interior projects will be highly appreciated, but is not mandatory.

Compensation & BenefitsProbation Period

• 3 months probation period.
• Salary during probation will be decided based on the candidate's relevant experience, previous compensation, demonstrated capabilities, and overall fit for the role.
• Performance during probation will be evaluated based on factors including client handling, sales contribution, project ownership, design capabilities, execution management, and overall performance.

Post-Probation Package

• Upon successful completion of probation, the annual CTC will be in the range of 8–15 LPA or above, depending on the candidate's performance, contribution, capabilities, and business impact.

Expense Reimbursement

The company will reimburse legitimate and approved expenses related to:

• Client meetings
• Local project-related travel
• Other necessary business and project-related expenses
