Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a COA-registered B.Arch with 6+ years of industrial project experience to lead master planning and architectural design for data centers. You will deliver compliant schematic and working drawings, review partner deliverables, and guide BIM teams in developing accurate LOD models.

Role requires NBC/byelaws knowledge, LEED/sustainability awareness, and strong coordination with MEP, IT, security, and fire-life-safety teams. Global project exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• COA-registered B.Arch with 6+ years of experience in industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of NBC, byelaws, LEED and sustainability criteria.
• Experience guiding BIM/Revit teams and delivering LOD 100–400 models.
• Ability to review partner drawings and ensure architectural quality.
• Familiarity with design basis reports, room books and tenders.
• Proven skill in BOQ preparation and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Lead master planning and layout at plot plan level for data center projects.

Your impact

The role involves leading, master planning and architectural design, delivering compliant schematic and working drawings, 2D/3D models, and detailed BOQs aligned with Uptime Institute Tier standards. It requires strong knowledge of NBC, local byelaws, LEED/sustainability criteria, and global data center design practices to review and validate partner deliverables. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary coordination with MEP, IT, security, and fire-life-safety teams, preparing design basis reports, room books, tenders, cost estimates, and resolving TQs/RFIs. The role also guides BIM/Revit teams in developing accurate LOD-based models and ensures high-quality plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details specific to data center infrastructure. A COA-registered B.Arch with 6+ years’ experience—preferably in industrial projects—along with proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and related tools is essential.

• Master plan and layout preparation at plot plan level
• Core competency in Architectural designs and should have ability and hands on experience to work on schematic/statutory/ working drawings and 2D /3D, Presentation, along with architectural BOQ & specifications.
• Shall have knowledge of statutory regulations, LEEDs certifications requirements, hygiene, and sustainability related design concepts/requirements.
• Global architectural practices / domain knowledge preferable to be able to check & review our global engineering partner’s drawings & documents.
• Strong knowledge of NBC and statutory codes, building byelaws, state wise requirements
• Preparation of BOQ’s, Tender Documents etc.
• Interdisciplinary coordination
• Preparation of Design basis and technical specifications for Architectural works and PEB building architectural works.
• Preparation of technical bid analysis and Resolutions of TQs and site RFI
• Façade & Fenestration, Interiors, Sanitation, and plumbing conceptualization to detail engineering including options for look and feel, walkthroughs, presentations etc.
• Conceptualization, preparation of various options meeting the Uptime Institute's Tier standard.
• Preparation of Design Basis Report & Room Book
• Planning / guiding a team of Revit modelers in developing BIM model meeting LOD 100 to 400 requirements during various phases of the projects.
• Reviewing the model / ensuring quality control on the model / guiding the modelers in extracting layouts from the 3D model like Architectural Plans, elevations, sections, plumbing drawings
• Preparation of site works tender including specifications and bill of material.
• Preparation of cost estimation for architectural part of the project

Here’s what you'll need

• B.Arch. Degree from recognized university, Registered with COA
• 6 to 12years of experience in industrial projects :
• Advance manufacturing of Chemical, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals industrial projects
• Data Center Experience will be added benefit
• New energy businesses like EV, PV, and associates industrial projects.
• Automotive industries, pharmaceutical plants, FMCG project.
• Awareness of 3D platforms like Revit 3D, Sketch up, Lumion, Twin motion
• Excellent domain knowledge of Master planning, preparation of concept layouts, working drawings and good for construction drawings, Pre-Engineered Building works
