Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the design and development of .NET applications with a strong C# foundation. The role emphasizes scalable APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, security, and cloud-native modernization across an enterprise platform.

You will provide technical leadership, shape architecture decisions, and collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver secure, maintainable solutions and AI-enabled capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience architecting and developing .NET applications using C#.
• Proven cloud-native solutions in Azure or AWS.
• Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud-native architecture across compute, API management, messaging, eventing, and data layers.
• Define scalable, secure REST APIs focused on performance and developer usability.
• Apply microservice and domain-driven design principles to decompose complex business domains.
• Use event-driven, CQRS, and serverless patterns to create scalable solutions.
• Produce architecture diagrams, domain models, data-flow diagrams, AI workflows, and cloud blueprints.
• Present architecture recommendations to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud modernization, legacy-system migration, AI readiness, and platform performance.

Must-Haves:

• Extensive professional experience architecting and developing .NET applications, with a strong C# foundation
• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed-system design
• Experience applying domain-driven design to create well-bounded services
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable agentic coding solutions
• Demonstrated success using AI‑assisted tools to improve engineering productivity across a team
• Experience with authentication and security protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Experience with identity providers such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD
• Working knowledge of secure APIs, rate limiting, secrets management, role‑based access control, managed identities, and encryption
• Experience producing and presenting architecture artifacts, including sequence diagrams, domain models, data‑flow diagrams, specifications, solution blueprints, AI workflows, and cloud architecture diagrams
• Solid understanding of data‑integration patterns and event‑driven systems
• Experience with messaging and event‑streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka
• Ability to communicate technical architecture effectively to engineering teams and executive stakeholders

Plusses:

• Deep Microsoft Azure experience, particularly with App Services, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Azure SQL
• Comparable AWS architecture experience
• Experience with event‑driven architecture, CQRS, and serverless design patterns
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating monolithic systems to microservices
• Familiarity with Generative AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, AWS AgentCore, or comparable technologies
• Experience designing AI‑ready platforms and integrating AI‑powered automation into core products

Day‑to‑Day:

• Design and evolve cloud‑native architecture across compute, API management, messaging, eventing, and data layers
