Job summary

Growth For Impact in Bengaluru is seeking a Quality Engineer to anchor APQP program quality within battery and integration teams. You will validate DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans and DVP steps before gate sign-off, and ensure compliance with IATF16949 standards.

You will drive RCA and CAPA, track action items across the program timeline, and coordinate quality checkpoints across design, process and integration streams.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• 1–3 years in APQP or program quality engineering.
• Strong process discipline to drive a program’s quality cadence.
• Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA and IATF16949 documentation requirements.
• Hands-on RCA experience during builds.
• Preferred: battery or vehicle integration programs.
• Preferred: exposure to Fault Tree Analysis authorship or review.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic working environment.
• Resilient with commitment to high-quality work and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Validate DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and DVP steps before gate sign‑off
• Flag skipped or shallow validation to the Function Lead before it becomes a later‑stage problem
• Serve as the embedded process quality anchor within battery, product, and integration program teams
• Track quality action items across the program timeline and drive them to closure
• Coordinate quality checkpoints across design, process, and integration workstreams
• Track RCA and CAPA closure as part of overall program quality health
• Ensure FTA coverage maps to failure modes identified in DFMEA/PFMEA and field RCA
• Keep FTA documentation up‑to‑date as new failure modes are learned
• Ensure DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and checksheets meet IATF16949 documentation standards
• Provide program‑level quality status reports to the Function Lead and NPQ Lead
