VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) in India is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to join our Customer Services & Operations team. About this role

We are seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to join our Customer Services & Operations team within the Network Monitoring function. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of networking technologies who are looking to build their career in a global telecommunications environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for real‑time network monitoring, fault validation, stakeholder communication, and incident reporting across a large‑scale customer network. This position operates on a 24x7x365 shift model and provides exposure to IP networks, Cisco technologies, and managed network services delivered to customers around the world.

Location: Pune, Bangalore or Ahmedabad

What you will do
  • Monitor customer networks and network elements within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform initial fault diagnosis and validate network alarms.
  • Report service‑impacting incidents to customers and internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and manage trouble tickets for investigation and resolution by specialist teams.
  • Work closely with technical support teams, incident management teams, service desks, and first‑line support functions.
  • Maintain operational excellence to support network availability and minimise service downtime.
  • Ensure accurate communication of faults and associated customer impact.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in a 24x7 shift environment to support business and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless customer service delivery.
Who you are

Essential Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or Engineering Diploma.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including: OSI Model, TCP/IP Suite, Basic Routing and Switching.
  • Working knowledge of: Windows operating systems, Internet browsers, Microsoft Office applications, Email applications.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA certification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Networking.
  • Approximately one year of experience within ISP, Telecom, Managed Services, or Network Operations Centre (NOC) environments.
  • Experience working in a network monitoring or managed service environment.
