Airbus India is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for the role of In-Service Engineer: Structures at its Bangalore location (Titanium Tech Park). This program provides fresh graduates the chance to gain practical experience within an international aerospace organization focused on digital innovation and advanced research.
The apprenticeship is planned as a 12 month program, expected to begin in July 2026 (date may be flexible). You will be part of the In-Service Engineering department responsible for airframe repair design and structural analysis.
During the program, a dedicated tutor will guide you in defining professional goals and developing relevant engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze requests and damage reports received from Airbus customers.
- Propose suitable repair solutions and design approaches.
- Carry out stress calculations including static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis for the repair design.
- Prepare approval documentation and follow the process through to final approval.
Qualifications
- Methods related to airframe design and structural stress analysis.
- Certification specifications and aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft structures.
- Problem solving approaches using reverse engineering techniques.
- Fresh graduate with a technical undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- No prior full-time professional experience. Internships and academic projects are acceptable.
- Ability to commit to the full 12 month apprenticeship duration.
- Aircraft structure design including drafting and GD&T.
- Strength of materials and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of fracture mechanics and fatigue analysis.
- B.E./B.Tech or Postgraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Fluency in English is required.
