Job summary

Piramal Pharma Limited is seeking an Apprentice in Engineering to support preventive and breakdown maintenance of process equipment across MPP-III, PP-II and PD Lab areas. You will learn cGMP practices while assisting in maintenance planning, calibration coordination, and equipment installations.

The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety rules, and documentation. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in a global CDMO environment with exposure to diverse process facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• Familiarity with cGMP and safety rules is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed SOPs and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for process equipment across MPP-III PP-II and PD Lab areas.
• Follow cGMP guidelines and all plant safety rules at all times.
• Assist in daily maintenance planning and execution based on production and safety requirements.
• Raise purchase requisitions (PR) and coordinate with vendors for calibration and validation activities.
• Assist in equipment and utility modifications for new processes.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as per safety and operational requirements.
• Participate in qualification and re-qualification of process and utility equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation and comply with SOP requirements.
• Assist in breakdown maintenance of equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Help in maintaining and organizing spare parts and tools.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the workshop and spares/tools area.
• Monitor and control lube oil and water spillages.
• Support AHU maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities.
