Job summary

Snc-Lavalin is seeking an Apprentice for the Water Team to contribute to storm network modelling and drainage infrastructure design from our Bengaluru/Gurugram office. You will own your work, deliver high-quality results, and participate in technical discussions with the team.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology and GIS, plus experience with PCSWMM/HEC-RAS/Bentley and strong report writing in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with a water resources focus from a recognised university.
• Demonstrable knowledge of network design or hydraulic modelling from academic projects.
• Experience using hydraulic design or modelling software in academic work.
• GIS knowledge (QGIS/ArcGIS) is preferred. Good report writing and English fluency.

Job Description Overview

We are planning to hire Apprentice for our Water Team business.

Your role

Work as part of Atkins Land development team. Work on a range of projects relating to storm network modelling, drainage infrastructure design and planning from the Bengaluru/Gurugram office. Work to high standards, ensuring the right first-time delivery. Ownership of the work of self. Contribute to technical discussions/meetings positively through knowledge sharing.

About you

Candidates should have a clear and demonstrable technical understanding of drainage infrastructure and related issues, including, hydraulics and hydrology.

Essential qualifications:

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resource and Environmental Engineering from a recognised University. Demonstrable knowledge of network design or hydraulic modelling as part of academic projects. Experience in using design or hydraulic modelling software for academic projects (PCSWMM, HECRAS or Bentley suite of software) is preferred. Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS is preferred. Good report writing skills and fluency in English.
