Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. seeks an accomplished professional with deep expertise in hardware-assisted verification (HAV), including emulation and FPGA prototyping, to optimize performance and deliver robust SoC verification.

You will lead debugging, root-cause analyses, and cross-functional collaboration across global customers. With 15+ years in emulation, you’ll interface with R&D to shape product features and ensure high-quality silicon outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in emulation methodology spanning RTL verification to software bring up.
  • Proven expertise in verification with focus on SoC bring-up and validation across bus/memory protocols and OS boot sequences.
  • Knowledge of emulation/FPGA prototyping platform architectures and their eco-systems.
  • Strong debugging features usage and root-cause analysis for runtime performance issues.
  • Proficient with HDL (Verilog/VHDL), HVL(e/vera/SystemVerilog), C/C++, Unix; understanding of ASIC design flows.

Responsibilities

  • Architect custom emulation methodologies using ZeBu to solve high-value customer problems.
  • Primary technical interface for debugging and resolving issues in ZeBu flow/methodology.
  • Provide technical leadership and product evaluation support to key emulation customers globally.
  • Lead comprehensive root cause analyses to resolve emulation performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure high standards of verification for SoC designs and contribute to robust products.
  • Work with R&D teams to define product requirements and validate new tool features.

You Are:

You are a passionate and driven professional with a profound mastery of hardware-assisted verification (HAV), using emulation and FPGA prototyping methodologies, with a sharp focus on performance optimization. Your expertise covers the entire lifecycle of HW/SW product development, from early RTL verification to software bring up and platform delivery. You possess a keen analytical mind adept at root cause analysis, especially when it comes to emulation runtime performance bottlenecks. What You’ll Be Doing:

What You’ll Need:
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in emulation methodology, spanning early RTL verification to software bring up.
  • Proven expertise in verification, with a focus on System on Chip (SoC) design bring-up and validation. This includes an extended knowledge of most frequent bus and memory protocols, and a good understanding of OSes booting sequence.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the architecture of emulation / FPGA prototyping platforms and their eco-systems.
  • A good understanding of the compilation and runtime flows on these emulation platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in using debug features of these emulation platforms, and in conducting root cause analysis for emulation runtime performance issues.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams to drive product and customer success.
  • Proficient with HDL (Verilog/VHDL), HVL(e/vera/SystemVerilog), C/C++, Unix, and having a strong understanding of ASIC design flows, VLSI, and/or CAD-engineering.
  • Experience on VMM/OVM/UVM and knowledge of simulator-emulator co-emulation are preferred.
