Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry, particularly in auxiliary systems.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, pump data sheets, vendor documents, inspection and testing requirements; submit techno-commercial offers for seals & auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with regional Com Ops, Operations and sub-suppliers to ensure technical compliance of quotes.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations (TBE) and provide technical and commercial solutions to secure projects.
• Lead order hand-off to engineering with clear communication and timely transfer of project files.

Position Title - Senior Application Engineer Summary This role is responsible for providing techno-commercial quotes for seals and auxiliary systems by coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in tandem with regional Com Ops team on strategic projects from quote till order and responsible for clean order hand-off to engineering. The application engineer is also expected to be capable of making technical and commercial decisions as appropriate in coordination with regional Com Ops team, sales and Operations.

Position preferences

• Strong knowledge on Flowserve seal and auxiliary products and pumps
• Capability to review project specifications, pump data sheets, vendor documents, Inspection and testing requirements etc. and timely submission of techno-commercial offer for mechanical seals & auxiliary systems at market level pricing in response to RFQ's
• Very good knowledge on commercial terms, delivery, warranty terms and clear understanding of Transfer Pricing 2.0 policy, effectively utilize TP 2.0 with FPD to increase FLS spent on seals and systems
• Actively participate in technical bid evaluation (TBE) meetings with EPC (on behalf of regional team) and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions to secure the project
• Liaison with regional Com Ops, Operations and sub-suppliers and other departments as needed to ensure technical compliance of seal / system quotes
• Track record of leading global projects and maintaining project master list to support technical and commercial decisions
• Manage and monitor large project proposal throughout the entire bid cycle and participate in strategic discussions with Regional Com Ops and other stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge in review purchase order and ensure compliance and transfer project files to order fulfilment, organize order hand-off calls with respective stakeholders
• Effectively utilizing the various tools including, but not not limited to: FAEP, Customer Connect, EIS, Flow Force, PRMS and other costing tools,
• Ability to work in an extended flexible schedule under deadline pressures
• Keeping perfect and effective communication channel with all the team internal and external stakeholders

• Successful completion of Flowserve trainings – Seals & Pump fundamentals, Flowserve application engineering program (FAEP)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation engineering.
• Should have 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry, particularly in auxiliary systems
