Job summary

Flowserve in Bengaluru is seeking an Applications Engineer to prepare competitive techno-commercial quotations for projects and MRO business. You will review technical requirements, select appropriate control valves and accessories, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely proposals.

You will handle regions and intercompany requirements, prepare deviations with justification, and ensure alignment with orders and hand-off to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the valve industry.
• Experience in application engineering, control valve selection, actuators, and accessories.
• Exposure to techno-commercial bidding and order hand-off processes.
• Experience with international customers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare techno-commercial quotations for standard and special control valves for assigned regions and intercompany requirements.
• Review project specifications, valve datasheets, process data, vendor documents, inspection, and testing requirements.
• Select suitable valves, actuators, and accessories based on application requirements.
• Prepare technical deviations and clarification lists with appropriate justification.
• Coordinate with factories, suppliers, legal, operations, and credit analysis teams for quotation support.
• Respond to customer technical clarifications and participate in technical discussions when required.
• Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure alignment with submitted proposals.
• Complete order hand-off documentation and transfer documents to respective manufacturing plants.
• Prepare and maintain pre-qualification dossiers and quotation logs.
• Meet assigned functional metrics for quotation quality, accuracy, and turnaround time.

Job Summary

Job Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the valve industry.
• Experience in application engineering, control valve selection, actuators, and accessories.
• Knowledge of project specifications, process datasheets, inspection, and testing requirements.
• Exposure to techno-commercial bidding, proposal preparation, and order hand-off processes.
• Commercial knowledge and experience working with international customers will be preferred.
