Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Neurology, Dehradun, under the ANRF-ARG sponsored project on Lipid Droplets in Tumour-Associated Macrophages. Temporary post; initial 1 year with extension possible based on performance.

Qualifications

• Essential: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/related fields with at least 55% marks. Eligibility through CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, DBT-BET, ICMR-JRF, INSPIRE or equivalent per ANRF/DST guidelines.
• Desirable: Cell culture, flow cytometry, IHC/IF, molecular biology, confocal/fluorescence microscopy, neuroimmunology, cancer biology, data analysis and scientific writing.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a purely temporary basis in the Department of Neurology, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun, under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF-ARG) sponsored research project: Lipid Droplets in Tumour-Associated Macrophages: A Novel Axis for Glioblastoma Progression and Therapeutic Intervention, File No.: ANRF/ARG/2025/005150/LS.

Essential Qualifications

• Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Neuroscience / Microbiology / Oncology / Biochemistry / Immunology or related subjects with at least 55% marks.
• Candidates must have qualified any one of the following national eligibility examinations: CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, DBT-BET, ICMR-JRF, INSPIRE, or any other national eligibility examination as per ANRF/DST guidelines.

Fellowship

• ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (first two years as JRF)
• ₹42,000/- per month + HRA (third year after upgradation to SRF based on satisfactory performance)

• The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
• Initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and project duration.
