Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Support Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experienceto join our production support team. In this role, you will be responsible formaintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the high availability of our modernproduction applications.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong full-stack technicalbackground, combining Angular frontend knowledge with robust Core Java, SpringBoot, and Microservices backend expertise. You will act as acritical technical bridge, utilizing advanced SQL skills to diagnosedatabase issues and leveraging deep API knowledge to assist cross-functionalteams with seamless application integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Thecandidate will continuously oversee system health to proactively detect,diagnose, and resolve high-severity production incidents while maintaining peakapplication uptime.


• Theywill leverage a solid understanding of distributed microservices architecturesto isolate faults and trace data flows across decoupled systems. By applyingdeep engineering insight, they will trace application workflows and debugissues seamlessly across the Angular frontend, Java backend, and middlewareintegrations.


• Theengineer is expected to author, analyse, and tune complex SQL queries toinvestigate data anomalies and resolve performance bottlenecks within intricatedatabase schemas.


• Underpressure, they must evaluate multi-application failures swiftly, performdeep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and deploy workarounds or fixes tominimize downtime.


• Managingtasks effectively by shifting focus across diverse application portfolios andenvironments without compromising troubleshooting quality or speed is critical.


• Additionally,they will partner closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Development teams tofacilitate smooth deployments, streamline release management, and maintaintransparent business communication. The role requires identifying, logging, andescalating critical software defects discovered in UAT or productionenvironments directly to engineering teams for remediation.


• Finally,they will guide external teams and end-users through complex applicationintegration challenges, delivering clear technical guidance and timelyresolutions.

Must Haves

• Applicantsmust possess professional proficiency in Angular, including comprehensivehands-on experience with components, services, and UI layout building usingHTML and CSS.


• Theyneed robust, production-level knowledge of Core Java and the Spring Bootecosystem, alongside strong operational familiarity with Microservicesenvironments and distributed system designs.


• Provenanalytical skills with a methodical approach to navigating logs, isolatingbugs, and defining definitive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) are strictly required.


• Candidatesmust have a deep understanding of SQL databases that spans advanced querywriting, schema design inspection, and query performance optimization.


• Hands-onexperience navigating OpenShift or Kubernetes container environments ismandatory, alongside a strong familiarity with the overall software deploymentlifecycle.


• Therole demands strong exposure to RESTful APIs, web service integration, and corenetwork fundamentals including HTTP and HTTPS protocols.


• Furthermore,the ideal candidate must demonstrate everyday proficiency with API testingsuites like Postman, database IDE tools, and log aggregation stacks such as theELK platform or similar log management systems.


• Candidatesmust possess a good understanding of modern authentication and authorizationmechanisms like OAuth and SAML 2.0.


• Candidatemust be familiar with at least one of the caching systems like Redis, Hazelcastor DataGrid etc.


• Exposureto message brokers and event-driven architectures, specifically Apache Kafka,is also essential.


• Thecandidate will maintain clear, polite, and professional communication withbusiness stakeholders to gather incident details and provide transparent statusupdates during production glitches.


• Theyare expected to compile routine operational metrics and present timelyperformance reports and status updates directly to management.


• Asthey scale their impact, the engineer will actively mentor junior team members,guiding them through standard operational playbooks and runbook execution.

Good To Have

• Familiarity with core system design principles,enabling a conceptual understanding of application structures, data flows, andinfrastructure dependencies.


• Ability to independently develop and executesmall Proof of Concepts (POCs) for application enhancements or new featuresbased on evolving business requirements.
