Job summary

DSS Imagetech Pvt Ltd seeks an Application Specialist to promote and support our molecular diagnostic products focused on cytogenetics. You will educate healthcare professionals and work with sales, marketing, and technical support to drive product adoption.

Responsibilities include developing product expertise, providing training, conducting demonstrations, and collaborating with sales. Travel may be required to support customers and industry events.

Qualifications

• Graduate or post-graduate in Human Genetics/Cytogenetics or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in cytogenetics or related field; experienced candidates preferred.
• Knowledge of FISH and Karyotyping is a must; Microscopy knowledge is an added advantage.
• Previous customer-facing experience such as sales, technical support, or product management is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed to support sales efforts and industry events.

• Help the Sales Team achieve targets for molecular products.
• Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and improvements.
• Work with product management and R&D to identify and prioritize product enhancements.
• Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and external customers.
• Create educational materials, including user guides, bulletins, and online resources.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and assist in preparing documentation for submissions, if required.

Job Description:

Looking for an application specialist to play a crucial role in promoting and supporting our cutting-edge molecular diagnostic products, primarily our cytogenetic solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of molecular biology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate and assist healthcare professionals in the effective use of our diagnostic solutions. He/She will work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and drive product adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Expertise:

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's molecular diagnostic products and their applications in the field of cytogenetics
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in molecular diagnostics.

Customer Support:

• Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals, laboratory personnel, and sales teams.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential and existing customers.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for promoting molecular diagnostic products.

Experience:

• 0- 2 years of experience in cytogenetics, laboratory work, or a related field. Experienced people will be preferred.
• Knowledge of FISH, Karyotyping is a must. Microscopy knowledge will be added advantage
