Job summary

Jagsonpal Services is seeking an experienced Applications Owner in Mumbai to lead the full lifecycle of business applications from requirement analysis to production support. You will ensure timely delivery, align roadmaps with business goals, and drive operating excellence across Dev, UAT, SIT, and Prod environments.

You will collaborate with Business, Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Security teams, manage governance, security, and compliance, and push for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Banking, NBFC, Fintech Lending, or Digital Lending organisations.
• Experience in Retail Lending and Corporate Lending.
• Strong understanding of digital loan sourcing and customer onboarding journeys.
• Experience managing enterprise business applications, release management and deployments.
• Understanding of application architecture and SDLC methodologies.
• Good understanding of APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of application monitoring and performance management tools.
• Knowledge of database concepts (Oracle preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud environments and enterprise deployments.
• ITIL service management knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete lifecycle of assigned business applications from requirements to production support.
• Ensure delivery of solutions meeting requirements, scope, quality, and timelines.
• Define roadmaps and enhancement plans aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend technology solutions; prepare specs.
• Oversee development, enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate deployments across Dev, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Prod environments.
• Lead UAT, SIT, regression testing, and production validation.
• Monitor performance, resolve production issues, and meet SLAs.
• Drive RCA and preventive measures to improve stability and upgrades.

Job description

Required Skills:

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the complete loan lifecycle, including: Loan Origination, Credit Assessment, Underwriting, Loan Sanction, Documentation, Disbursement, Repayment, Collections, Loan Closure
• Experience in Retail Lending, Corporate Lending, or related domain.
• Good understanding of digital loan sourcing and customer onboarding journeys.
• Experience managing enterprise business applications, release management, and production deployments.
• Understanding of application architecture and SDLC methodologies.
• Good understanding of APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of application monitoring and performance management tools.
• Understanding of database concepts (Oracle preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud environments and enterprise application deployments.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management practices is an advantage.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities will include:

1. Application Ownership & Delivery

• Own the complete lifecycle of assigned business applications, from requirement analysis to implementation and production support.
• Ensure successful delivery of application solutions that meet business requirements, agreed scope, quality standards, and timelines.
• Define application roadmaps and enhancement plans aligned with business priorities.

2. Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications and work closely with development teams during implementation.

3. Application Development & Release Management

• Oversee application development, enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance activities.
• Manage application deployments across Development, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
• Coordinate UAT, System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing, and production validation.
• Ensure successful production releases with minimal business disruption.

4. Production Support & Application Maintenance

• Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability.
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues while maintaining agreed SLAs.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve application stability.
• Manage application upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiatives.

5. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between Business, Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Information Security, and external vendors.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and status reports.

6. Governance, Security & Compliance

• Ensure applications comply with organisational architecture standards, security policies, RBI guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance readiness.
• Manage application access controls, security vulnerabilities, and operational risks.

7. Quality Assurance

• Promote high-quality software delivery through adherence to SDLC best practices.
• Ensure appropriate testing, documentation, and release governance.
• Monitor project milestones and ensure timely delivery.

8. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, user experience, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Recommend technology upgrades and process improvements to enhance business productivity.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in digital lending.
