Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking an Application Modernization Lead – Manager to guide software engineering teams across advisory, assurance, tax and business services. You will drive design, coding, and testing of modernized applications, lead client-facing initiatives, and mentor junior staff to ensure delivery excellence.

You will leverage Java, Python, and C++ expertise, manage modernization programs with strong governance, and apply CI/CD practices within an Azure-centric environment

As an Application Modernization Lead – Manager, you will drive the development of innovative software solutions to enhance business performance and facilitate digital transformation. Within our Technology Consulting practice, you will leverage your technical experience and creative thinking to design, code, and test applications that transform industries and deliver exceptional user experiences. As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members’ unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. Responsibilities

• Leading software engineering teams in the development of innovative applications to drive digital transformation
• Guiding the design, coding, and testing of applications using programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++
• Managing application modernization projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution
• Utilizing API management and microservices architecture to enhance application integration and performance
• Overseeing quality assurance testing and software troubleshooting to maintain application reliability
• Implementing continuous integration and delivery practices to streamline software development processes
• Collaborating with client support teams to address technical challenges and optimize user experiences
• Mentoring team members to develop skills in software development methodologies and application lifecycle management
• Promoting the adoption of enterprise application architecture and innovative technologies across projects
• Analyzing system interactions to identify opportunities for business process improvement and enhanced performance

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
